Full itinerary
Full-day Delhi city tour
Arrive Delhi and transfer to your hotel. Full day city tour covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Qutub Minar (built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199), Humayun's Tomb, India Gate and Lakshminarayan Temple. We drive past the President's House, Parliament House and Connaught Place. Overnight in Delhi.
Drive to Jaipur, evening at leisure
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. In the evening visit Laxmi Narayan Mandir, a white-marble Hindu temple, with a chance to observe a prayer ceremony. Dinner with traditional Rajasthani music and dance at Chokhi Dhani. Overnight in Jaipur.
The Pink City in full
Visit City Palace, still the royal family's formal residence, built in a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, plus its museum of the Jaipur Maharajas' private collection. Continue to Jantar Mantar, the largest of Jai Singh's five stone observatories, then ascend Amber Fort by elephant. En route, see Hawa Mahal (1799 AD) with its 953 casement windows. Afternoon walk through Jaipur's bazaars and a block-printing workshop.
Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort & the Taj Mahal
Drive to Agra via Fatehpur Sikri (Diwan-e-Khas, Panch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Buland Darwaza). In Agra, visit Agra Fort, begun under Akbar in 1565 and completed under Shah Jahan, then the Taj Mahal itself — built 1631–52 as a memorial to Mumtaz Mahal. See the marble inlay work still practised by descendants of the Taj's original artisans. Overnight in Agra.
Sunrise at the Taj, drive to Delhi
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal for sunrise, then breakfast and the drive back to Delhi for your onward transfer. Tour services conclude here.
